ABOUT
We are one of the largest Australian family-owned fresh fruit processors in the juice category today. We have maintained our head office in Brisbane (QLD) and have been producing naturally healthy, delicious juice since 1969. Today we are squeezing more than 300,000 fresh oranges and pressing approximately 180,000 fresh apples daily at our modern facility in Warwick.
Our owners, the Estens Family have been farming for over 50 years and to ensure continued supply of fresh seasonal juice all year round, have planted 200,000 citrus trees in Moree NSW, bringing the farm direct to your fridge. The Estens family support a wide range of philanthropic organisations and are passionate about giving back to the community.
We have relationships with multiple Australian growers who supply Grove Juice on long term contracts. We are entrenched into the fruit producing communities and regions by supporting worthwhile causes such as Variety – The Children’s Charity.
We employ over 100 staff across our two sites and take an active position in the industry via grower interaction and industry based associations.
Under the Grove Juice brand is our Signature range, made from 100% Australian grown fruit, and our Premium and Classic ranges. We also market products under the Only Juice brand, which has been around as long as the Grove Juice brand. Our products are in leading supermarkets, cafes, hotels and takeaway shops. In more recent times overseas markets have taken to the taste of Grove Juice, so on your travels you may even see our product in overseas supermarkets.
Grove maintains the highest quality standards which are backed by accreditation to SQF standards.
HISTORY
Grove Fruit Juice was established in Brisbane in 1969 as a specialised home delivery fruit juice business. The Willis family purchased the company in 1983 with the vision of expanding through innovation, quality and service. By 1987, Grove was one of the first companies In Queensland to commercially squeeze fresh oranges for direct consumption. Grove moved to its current location at Mansfield, Brisbane in 1990 after 21 years in its original Buranda factory. Grove ensured that only the best quality fruit was used, going through extensive washing, sorting and sanitising prior to being chilled and squeezed. The fruit was squeezed daily and bottled within hours. These new products started to develop Grove Juice’s connection with Brisbane households and hospitality trade.
Grove established a distribution network, using its own fleet of vehicles, to provide fast reliable delivery to supermarkets so people throughout Queensland had access to Grove products.
To keep up with the growth of the business Grove commissioned a new modern site in 2011 in Warwick in South West Queensland; purpose built to process the fresh fruit from Queensland and New South Wales. This new facility is located in close proximity to the apple orchards of Stanthorpe and within 3 hours of the citrus orchards of north western NSW. The Site processes 7 different types of fruit all year round, sourced from the Granite Belt, Northern NSW, the Riverina district and the Wide Bay area.
The quality principles that underpinned the business in the eighties are still the cornerstone of the business today. Grove prides itself on being 100% Australian owned, using quality Australian fruit. Whilst its processing methods have modernised it still retains a connection to the days of home delivery juice, where quality and customer service were the keys to your business.
